The Mt Mansbridge Project, located in the southern Kimberley region of Western Australia, is one of the few places in Australia with hydrothermal xenotime mineralization. Xenotime is a rare-earth phosphate mineral where yttrium (Y) is a major component (YPO₄). Heavy rare earth elements (HREEs), such as dysprosium (Dy), terbium (Tb), erbium (Er), and ytterbium (Yb), can substitute for yttrium in varying amounts, making xenotime a primary ore mineral for high-value magnetic elements like dysprosium and terbium.

As a fully permitted site, exploration is focussed on locating structural environments that allow fluids to precipitate larger volumes of heavy rare earths (HRE) which is key to finding an economic resource. Such environments may include areas of brittle deformation, dilational zones, or intersecting structures. At Browns Range (ASX:NTU), located 45 km northeast, the mineralization is most concentrated along structures oriented at 260-280 degrees, and to a lesser extent along younger structures at 320 degrees, with the best mineralization occurring at the junction of these structures (Cook et al., 2013). At the Sigma prospect, early indications from soil geochemistry suggest two dominant structural trends at 310-320 degrees and 50-70 degrees.
